The Need for Speed

I did my first speed training session of the year last night. We train on a 200 metre indoor track and last night I had to do 6 x 600 metres with a 200 metre rest between each set. Here's how they went:

Set 1: 3:01
Set 2: 3:00
Set 3: 2:58
Set 4: 2:56
Set 5: 2:54
Set 6: 2:54

So I averaged around an 8 minute mile for each set of 600. To meet my goal of running a 50 minute 10K, this is the pace I will have to do. I was a little winded after each set, but I think it's doable.

On another note, I did 35 pushups yesterday. At this rate, I'll have to change my goal of doing 50 pushups by the end of the year. Could I do 75? 100?
